About this event
The Union Suits are an original midwestern Americana band from Minneapolis, MN via rural Wisconsin. They play good music. They play for keeps.
Goatroper~ Abbey Janii & Mike Lee are both songwriters from South Dakota living in Minneapolis. Over the last few years, Abbey was fronting the rock band Julie Fur, while Mike was bouncing around playing his weirdo folk songs for anyone who would listen. After releasing their solo efforts “Prairie Roads” & “Pick Me Up Café,” they began work on a new project playing each other’s tunes. They’re spending the spring playing out and working in the studio as they prepare for a late summer tour of the Midwest. Their songs are influenced by a broad range of artists, and the result is twangy, folksy rock & roll out of the Heartland.Hemma is the musical project of Eau Claire songwriter Hannah Hebl. Raised in a family of singers, she started writing songs at an early age on guitar and piano. Growing up as a beloved interpreter of songs for familial ceremonies, Hebl now makes her living sharing her original songs and commanding attention in spaces such as the Parkway Theater in Minneapolis and MSP Airport's Republic Stage. She’s had the honor to serve as a backing vocalist for HALEY, Sarah Krueger, and Wendy Lewis. She joined the PEOPLE collective in 2017 with a pop project called hômlê. Her debut EP, “Tomorrow River”, co-produced with Shane Leonard, will be released early 2020.
