IT’S NEW BAND NIGHT!

Here’s the deal. All new bands have had to have formed within the year. Some of these bands will be playing their very first shows ever! The cost is a cheap $5 and the 100% of the door will go to the bands to split up.

So come on out and cheer on some newbie bands on the cheap!

September’s Line-Up: USPOP, Field Trip, Lawnchair Dads and More!

8:00 The TH3~ Emerging from the vibrant music scene of Minneapolis, TH3 is an instrumental funk trio that transfixes audiences with their musical chemistry and diligent dedication to the groove. The band consists of three established local musicians: Jeff Ham on guitar, Grant Eull on bass,, and Randy Kramer on drums. Together, they craft a fresh yet nostalgic sound, drawing deep inspiration from seminal funk acts of the 1970s such as The Meters, Funkadelic and The Average White Band as well as more recent pioneers like 5ive Style, and The Brand New Heavies. Inspired by a Barfield performance at The Continental Club in Austin Tx, Jeff Ham returned home with the desire to revisit his funky roots established in the 90s as a founding member of Minneapolis legends The Curbfeelers. After sharing some demos with Grant and Randy the trio quickly formed and began to create its unique style so they could share the joy with others as a live show. The music of TH3 is a celebration of funk’s rich history, infused with their own creative twist. With deep grooves, infectious rhythms, and un-egocentric musicianship, TH3 is ready to bring those timeless grooves to new band night on the Palmers stage

9:00 USPOP~ play Britpop music. USPOP. USPOP is not a cover band. Not a tribute band either. We’re an American Britpop band. We write our own songs, and yes, we do know how to play Wonderwall and Parklife and Live Forever and Song #2, thanks for asking. Fake accents, real music.

10:00 Field Trip~ delivers high energy performances of catchy and passionate music. Widely ranging from anthemic rock songs to slow introspective ballads; their performances weave together an eclectic mixture of styles centered around indie-pop, blending funky, folksy, and blues-ey colors throughout their sets.

11:00 Lawnchair Dads~ is an alternative metal duo consisting of bassist/vocals Will Suit and drummer/background vocals Izzy Cruz. Energetic and heavy hitting, Lawnchair Dads strives to leave you feeling one if not all sorts of emotions.
