November’s Line-Up: Head Honcho, Lucy London The Driftless Area and Owen Trelstad
8:00 pm Lucy London~ What happens when creepy drone music meets opera meets old time folk music meets yodeling? Lucy aims to find out. A trained opera singer and practitioner of American and international folk music, Lucy London uses her voice and theatrical storytelling to create emotional landscapes that foster joy, connection, and wider understanding
9 Driftless Area~ Originally formed as a songwriting project to stay musically creative in between bands and life transitions, Andy Jensen and Jayce Roberts decided to record their songs and eventually became The Driftless Area. Playing the songs as a duo around Minneapolis to get the music out there and recording a couple albums on their own, they eventually crossed paths with drummer Url Hopper and bassist Rich Tudor, adding the rhythm section in Autumn of 2023.
Their new album “Terminal Moraine” marks the end of one stage and a fresh start of a new stage for the Midwest Rock band influenced by their Twin Cities heroes The Jayhawks,Soul Asylum and Gear Daddies with a sound that’s reminiscent of Son Volt, Gin Blossoms and R.E.M.
10 Head Honcho~ are a local Twin Cities rock/indie band. We bring a dance-worthy tone to the stage, with an electric stage presence
11 Owen Trelstad~ is an Acoustic Rock/Pop artist, with influences such as The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, and Dave Matthews Band. He has been writing songs for years on his acoustic, while playing the occasional coffee house or other solo event, but over the past few months we have put a five piece band together.
