IT’S NEW BAND NIGHT!
Here’s the deal. All new bands have had to have formed within the year or two give and take how long they’ve been playing out. Some of these bands will be playing their very first shows ever! Some are relocating from other cities and other scenarios. The cost is a cheap $5 and the 100% of the door will go to the bands to split up.
So come on out and cheer on some newbie bands on!
February’s Line-Up: Duck Bomb, Alpine Shepard Boy and Booster Pack
8pm Duck Bomb~ Founding members Gavin Schultz (vocals, bass), Jonah Beck (guitar) and Josh McCullough (drums) came together in 2021 to form a band. During the release process of Bottom Text (2023), the name Duck Bomb was chosen for the group, with Jacob Wegier (guitar) joining later that year. Influences of pop punk and heavy metal clash to form a high energy modern alternative sound of contrasting highs and lows. Equipped with catchy choruses and lyrical narratives on conflict and growth, Duck Bomb has something for everyone to enjoy, from casual listeners with an itch for something explosive to active listeners with a hunger to dive in.
9 Alpine Shepard Boy~ Alpine Shepherd Boy started as the project of songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Thomas Schroeder in 2019. After several years of quiet development as an unofficial recording project, Alpine Shepherd Boy now emerges into the Minneapolis scene with bassist Ogden Miller and drummer John Bruch. The trio is driven by the desire to create novel indie rock that combines elements of jazz, folk, and alternative, all underpinned by lush shoegaze experimentation. Their sound is dynamic, atmospheric, and rhythmically complex, yet accessible to listeners of all tastes.
10 Booster Pack~ is a mashup of modern jazz and video game music. They perform original jazz and fusion arrangements of songs from video game soundtracks. Booster Pack is local to the Twin Cities and formed in the summer of 2024.
