Floodwater Angel, Rabeca and Magick Flavour Station

  • Palmer's Bar 500 Cedar Ave S Minneapolis, MN 55454 United States (map)

A night of meditative riffs await you as Floodwater Angel on around midnight with Rabeca and Magick Flavour Station. Enter at your own risk!

Floodwater Angel: Technicolor live shows, drenched in smoke, only serve to illustrate songs from the band's first LP, 2021's Glitter Cannons: a stark album of "finger-pointing" songs infused with 1960s-'70s glam. The band's second album, 2023's Dungeon Crawlers, leans into modern psych rock territory: pounding kraut rock, deep meditative guitar licks, and soothing folk intercut with the band's own flavour of rock and roll. Here is what we do know: Floodwater Angel is the story of heartbreak, tech-nightmares, and a climate meltdown happening right before your eyes. The ship we're on is sinking; When you look up, what do you see?

Rabeca is a Minneapolis-based food-jazz quintet that began performing together in early 2019. The band's debut album, Potluck (2020), fuses the band’s love of pop, jazz, puzzles, cats, and kitchen ingredients into a hearty, home-cooked meal. Rabeca is: Alex Rack (keys), Anna Dolde (alto saxophone), Colleen Cowie (guitar), David Munkvold (bass), and Satchel Bruna (drums).

Magick Flavour Station is the recording project of Raymond K. Self described by “Lo Fi lullabies for college aged cig smokers”, MFS makes vaporwave and trip hop infused indie folk exclusively recorded with cassette equipment to make music to isolate yourself from the real world with.
