NO ENCORE is a case study in efficiency. They’re either a Minneapolis punk band that likes rock, or a Minneapolis rock band that likes punk. What we do know is that it’s two people running three amps sounding like a full band with no tricks, dubs, or samples. For fans of Sugar or the early Goo Goo Dolls, only you think those bands were too slow and had one extra member they could’ve lived without.

UNSTABLE SHAPES write noisy songs about disappointment and romance, post-hardcore paeans to self-discovery and self-deception. Angular guitars echoing over an abyss of muscular bass riffs and kinetic drumming, punctuated with thunderous shouts and screeching feedback.
