10 The 241's~ are punks that started a country band. Hanging out in bars and in other bands it winds up being a pretty familiar tale. Musicians often want to get to the roots of the music or artists they admire. It classic country is a tell tell of outlaws and the origins of the honky-tonk sound that would get the conversations going. And so the origins of the 241's story began and the guitars came out! Fox bought a pedal steel and Ian started writing. Mutt volunteered to sing and with a couple line up changes later they added Jeff and Aaron. Heavy into honky tonk with sounds of the 50's into the 80's, they can keep’ em slow and sad, or they can blow the doors off the place. Always being authentic, They have a great time making music with a lot of laughs along the way.
11 Nato Coles~ is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His band from back in those days was the Modern Machines, who attempted with varying levels of success to play a Husker Du meets early Replacements style of punk. After that band broke up, Nato moved to New York City, where he played in both the Radio Faces and the Used Kids, both of which showcased elements of the more complex songwriting that he would finally bring fully to fruition after his move to the Twin Cities, where he and Mike Cranberry got the Blue Diamond Band together.
