This is both a patio and indoor show. Doors are at 6pm. Showtime 7-10 on the patio and then inside after 10. If weather is dumb the show moves inside.
Howdy Partner will be around to give some beginner country dance tips and lessons, including basic two-step and line dancing about an hour before the first band.
"7pm Uncle Kenny (patio)~ A four-piece string band featuring some of the most talented pickers in the twin cities, a tasteful blend of bluegrass, old time, classic country, jazz, and whatever else they want
8 Becky Kapell & The Fat 6~ writes gritty, no-nonsense songs that come from the crossroads of old-time rock and roll and country. Always walking the line between mischief and heartache, her music doesn’t shy away from life’s truths and her own shortcomings, and with over 50 years of life’s ups and downs, she has plenty of material to draw from.
9 The Federales~ A Minneapolis-based collaboration between seven longtime friends with a shared love of old-school country music and rock & roll. The band captures the warm sonic textures of the ‘60s and ‘70s recordings they’re drawn to. Think a boisterous Bakersfield dance hall or a music-basted Austin barbecue circa 1975.
10 Stardust (solo, inside)~ is telling the story of his life as it unfolds and of his own, personal understanding of life itself, through classic singer-songwriter song structures preformed in a style that blends folk, country, rock and synth
11 Michael Gay & His Dang Band~ country folk storyteller. Starting off as a drummer and finding his way to guitar, he was inspired by the singer-songwriters of his dad’s generation--Willie Nelson, John Prine and Jerry Jeff Walker.
