9 Kiernan~ is the musical, whimsical, joy-making project of Laura Kiernan. Drawing sound inspirations from the likes of Big Thief, MJ Lenderman, and John Prine, it started as a solo project that expanded to a band of loving friends: Jared Johnson on guitar, Maddie Thies (anni xo, Sister Species) on bass, Nate LeBrun (Humbird, Squinny) on drums. Named by First Avenue as one of the Best New Bands of 2024, and by The Current as one of their top 10 bands to watch, Kiernan released their first EP "Magnetic North" in June 2024 and two singles "Unhelpful" and "Autopilot" in April 2025 - with more music soon to follow.
